Who am I?

Hello and welcome! I’m Marion, a French native speaker who’s passionate about languages, cultures, and words. I have a background in international and European law, languages, and audiovisual translation. I dove into the world of translation and localization in 2020. I can help you adapt your content for a French-speaking audience or make it more accessible.

My story

I grew up in the South of France, in the mild Mediterranean climate and sunny valleys.

Growing up, I was always immersed in fiction books. I’ve always loved languages. I started learning English and Spanish at school, and at 16, I decided to learn Chinese on my own. I’m currently working on adding Chinese to the languages I translate from by 2026.

I love to travel. I’ve had the opportunity to work in Argentina, study in Canada, and live in the United States for almost four years. I’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with people from all around the world. In 2024, I moved back to France, in the snow-capped mountains of the Alps.

My journey

Professional experience

I have worked in several areas of translation and localization.

Translation and revision of various content (marketing, law, blog articles, websites, etc.).
Localization of websites, software and applications, ensuring their linguistic and cultural adaptation.
Audiovisual translation, including subtitling and adaptation for dubbing and voice-over.
Quality Assurance (QA) testing of websites and software to ensure an optimal user experience.
Localization supervision for French as a language lead to ensure consistency and quality of translations.
Management of localization projects and coordination of teams as a project manager.

Academic background

Master’s degree in Audiovisual Translation: subtitling, dubbing, voice-over and accessibility (SDH and audio description).
Bachelor’s degree in Applied Foreign Languages.
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in International and European Law .
